- I was born and raised in Wallingford, CT, and graduated from the University of New Haven with a BS in Hotel Management, Tourism and Travel. A 10-year Marriott Hotel career brought my family and I to Raleigh in 1988. My wife Sally and I, are very proud of our two daughters Nancy (age 24), and Angela (age 21). In 1992, I made a career change to the luxury automobile industry. I spent 14 years with Johnson Lexus, and am currently in sales and leasing with Leith Mercedes Benz of Raleigh. I've been involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society along with Sally for several years, through the Showcase for a Cure. I was compelled to accept the nomination for the Man of the Year due to the loss of my brother to cancer. In March of 2008, I received the terrible news that my brother Mark was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Sadly, he lost his battle to cancer on August 20, 2008. I am dedicating this Campaign to my brother, Mark.
